Why Earn a Wellness & Exercise Science Bachelor's Degree at 91福利社?

  • There are three areas that set our program apart from similar programs. We focus on a holistic and proactive approach to wellness, we incorporate courses in movement and we offer experiential learning and field work beginning the first semester.
  • Our Wellness and Exercise Science degree is also multidisciplinary, combining a scientific foundation in biology, anatomy, physiology and kinesiology, with marketing, psychology and sociology.
  • Emphasis is on experiential learning for Wellness and Exercise Science majors, including full-semester internships at a fitness/wellness center.
  • Topics include: human anatomy, nutrition, kinesiology, public health, motor development, coaching.

Program Details

Course Information

To pursue our Wellness and Exercise Science BS, you will first apply to 91福利社 through our general Admissions & Financial Aid processes. You will then apply to our Feinstein School of Education and Human Development, once you are a 91福利社 student and have completed several introductory courses.

General Education

All degree programs require the completion of one 3-4 credit course in each of the nine General Education categories and the completion of at least 40 total credits of General Education courses. The General Education Program provides a foundation for deeper study in a wide range of academic disciplines, enabling students to develop the skills and habits of mind necessary for full participation in an increasingly complex world.

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • apply knowledge to assess and analyze the health, skill and wellness-related components
  • create, implement, and evaluate exercise programs for the health, skill and wellness-related components in authentic situations
  • demonstrate an ability to educate and counsel individuals regarding fitness principles and effective behavioral strategies to increase exercise adherence
  • demonstrate knowledge regarding legal, ethical and social justice issues affecting the individual practitioners and the profession as a whole
  • accquire the knowledge to manage organizations and establish guidelines and protocols in accordance with national standards
