What is the Joint Admissions Agreement (JAA)?
The JAA is an agreement between 91¸£ÀûÉç and the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) that allows CCRI students to easily transfer to 91¸£ÀûÉç.
Students can begin working toward one of many possible bachelor's degrees at 91¸£ÀûÉç while earning their associates degree at CCRI. Although it's common for students to transfer from CCRI to 91¸£ÀûÉç, the purpose of the JAA is to facilitate the transition from the associates degree at CCRI to the bachelor's degree at 91¸£ÀûÉç.
Why Should I Participate?
If you enroll in the Joint Admissions Agreement between CCRI and 91¸£ÀûÉç, and complete an associates degree from an approved CCRI program, you'll receive:
- conditional acceptance to 91¸£ÀûÉç
- a waived 91¸£ÀûÉç application fee
- up to 30% tuition reduction based on CCRI GPA
- one-on-one advising at both CCRI and 91¸£ÀûÉç
- the help needed for a stress-free transfer to 91¸£ÀûÉç as a junior in the major you've specified
Am I Eligible?
You are eligible to apply if you have earned fewer than 30 credits at CCRI and have never attended another college or university. In order to make the transition from CCRI to 91¸£ÀûÉç you need to have:
- completed your approved associates degree at CCRI with a cumulative GPA of 2.4 or higher
- submitted the intent to enroll form to 91¸£ÀûÉç
- met all academic and non academic requirements for enrollment at 91¸£ÀûÉç
Our transfer admissions team will work directly with CCRI to request your official transcript. You do not need to request your own CCRI transcript.
